IKEA and ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announce a collaboration to provide unique furniture specifically for gamers.
ROG is extremely popular with gamers and is even more popular in Asia than it is with us. For example, we recently saw the ROG gaming products appear in the thriller #ALIVE on Netflix. It’s no surprise, then, that IKEA chose ROG as a partner to bring specialty furniture to gamers. The range will be available in the Chinese market in February (the IKEA Product Development Center is located in Shanghai, China) and the 30 different products will also be available in Europe and around the world by the end of 2021. IKEA and ROG hope to reach more than 2.5 billion gamers.
“ROG is thrilled to partner with IKEA to design the ultimate gaming lifestyle for gamers. Gamers dream of a perfect gaming place that is not only comfortable and practical, but also completely immerses them in the gaming experience. Thanks to our many years of experience in innovative gaming solutions, ROG has an excellent view of the gaming community. Thanks to our collaboration with IKEA, the home furnishing expert, we create synergies so that gamers can furnish their dream gaming space in their own home ”, said Kris Huang, General Manager of the ROG Gaming Gear and Accessories Business Unit.
It is not yet known which products are concerned. We expect a desk and TV cabinet, but the partners may also join in the footsteps of Logitech and together they launch an ergonomic office chair.
