Israeli army attacked Hamas positions in response to rocket fire :: Politics :: RBC

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the night of May 6 attacked the military positions and infrastructure of the Islamic movement Hamas in response to the launch of rockets from Gaza in Israeli territory. About it it says Israel Defense Forces post on Twitter.

“In response to a missile strike launched from Gaza tonight toward Israeli territory, we attacked three Hamas military posts in the Gaza Strip,” the Israeli military said.

According to The Jerusalem Post, the rocket fell in the southern district of Israel. No casualties were reported.

The last time the Israeli military attacked Hamas positions in response to a March 27 launch from the Gaza Strip.

Hamas is the ruling Palestinian Islamic movement in the Gaza Strip. It is recognized by a terrorist organization in
EU countries, USA, Canada, Israel, as well as in the UK (only combat wing). Organization banned in Egypt and Jordan. Russia does not rank this party as a terrorist organization, but strongly condemns its attacks.
