Joaquín Pardo, legend of Junior and Atlantic football, dies

Joaquín Pardo, a legendary former Barranquilla player from the Rebolo neighborhood, who passed through Junior in two cycles, from 1966 to 1970 and from 1971 to 1972, passed away this Friday.

The former soccer player was born on February 28, 1946 and his love for soccer was seen from an early age.

Pardo also played for Atlético Rebolo, Deportes Tolima, and Deportivo Pereira.

In addition, he played in the Colombian National Team that participated in the 1965 Eliminatory, in the 1968 pre-Olympic tournament and also in the Olympic Games that year.

Pardo played 142 games with Junior and scored 14 goals.
