UK National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Cabinet Secretary Mark Sedville resigned. The corresponding document is posted on the website of the government.
“I will resign and leave the civil service at the end of September,” Sedville said in a letter to the Prime Minister.
On June 28, David Frost was appointed to the post of Sedville, who previously represented the Prime Minister in negotiations with the EU.
“I am pleased to appoint David Frost as my next national security adviser. He is an experienced diplomat, political thinker and experienced negotiator, firmly believing in strengthening Britain’s place in the world, ”said Boris Johnson.
According to the BBC, recently there have been reports of tensions between Sedville and other advisers to the British Prime Minister due to the question of the correctness of the measures taken to combat coronavirus infection.
