Through the images taken by JunoCam, the probe’s onboard camera, they will return what it would have been like to travel alongside the spacecraft on one of its last close flybys to the surface of the gas world. Specifically on June 2, when the spacecraft approached approximately 3,400 kilometers from the clouds of Jupiter.

“At that moment, Jupiter’s powerful gravity accelerated the spacecraft to tremendous speed, around 130,000 mph (209,000 kilometers per hour) in relation to the planet, “they explain in a statement from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Nasa for its acronym in English).
