KIPI Vaccination for Children Can Happen, Parents Must Do This

NOVA.id – Since early January 2022, the government has started promoting vaccines for children aged 6 to 11 years.

Just like adults, children also have to go through a series of health screening processes before being injected with a vaccine.

Vaccine side effects can happen to children.

This makes some parents still afraid and hesitant to allow their children to be vaccinated.

Unfortunately, the parent’s decision can hinder the vaccination process to form herd immunity.

The chairman of the National Committee for Post-Immunization Adverse Events (Komnas KIPI), Prof. DR Dr Hindra Irawan Satari Sp.A(K), M.TropPaed said that doubts were reasonable.

However, according to him, the Covid-19 vaccine product that is currently recommended has gone through many stages.

Thus, its security can be guaranteed before it is declared as a national program.

“The safety of the Covid-19 vaccine in children is no different from that in adults,” he said Kompas.com.
