40 km / h – read the sentence
The car was dispersed on a trolley, the speed was measured with three devices – they showed that the Vesta sedan performed the national crash test at 39-40 km / h. Acceleration is minimal, but even this was enough to the state of “auto group”.
In a lateral collision with a pillar, LADA’s body moved, the front airbags were shot off, wings and doors began to wave. The “Akademik” was especially surprised by the fact that the passenger door lock was almost ripped out and the body on the back of the car crumpled. The reason for this turned out to be an engineering miscalculation from AvtoVAZ.
The spar was installed incorrectly
Even before the collision of LADA Vesta with the pillar, the blogger examined the bottom of the car and noted that upon impact, the spar at the junction with 2 spare parts would break. After the national crash test at 40 km / h, the car was raised for inspection – and the blogger was right.
The blow did not hit the spar joint, but it broke. The body also followed, because its geometry shifted from the crease of the power unit. Therefore Vesta was twisted to the state of “auto group”.

Of course, the car body can be pulled out, and the power units can be welded, but the speed of 40 km / h is low for such destruction. It is clearly worth working on the safety of the car in the future. On the positive side, it is worth noting the triggered GLONASS system – after hitting the pole, the operator called to find out if the driver needed help.
