The Ittihad Riadi Club of Tangier (IRT), football section, announced on Friday evening that it has signed a three-season contract with Gabonese striker Axel Meye to strengthen the attacking line of the ‘team.
Gabonese international Axel Meye has already played in the French, Turkish and Kuwaiti championships, before landing in the Moroccan championship, as a striker for the Chabab Rif Al-Hoceima team, which had to leave the professional championship 2 after being ranked last.
The IRT announced the restructuring of the team’s technical bench, as part of preparations for the resumption of training on October 22. He thus signed a contract with the national executive, Driss Lamrabet, to occupy the position of technical director and general manager of the team.
Coach Driss Lamrabet led the Tangiers team to success during the 2017-2018 season, where they won their first coronation in club history.
The club also decided to extend the contracts of the team’s first assistant coach, Rafik Abdessamad, of the physical trainer, Rachid Balj, of the goalkeepers coach, Mohamed Bistara, and of the second assistant coach, Ahmed Saleh.
