Liverpool refused Werner and any other transfers for the coming year – Foreign Football News – Football

Premier League faced with a new economic reality due to the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Liverpool has to radically revise its plans.

According to the Daily Mirror, in the coming summer, Liverpool planned to get Werner and midfielder Lyon Ussem Aura.

Both players were “red” for three seasons.

It is known that the Werner transfer can be redeemed for 50 million pounds, while Auar is estimated by his club at about 40 million pounds. Taking into account commissions, salaries and bonuses for five-year contracts, Liverpool would have to spend about 150 million pounds.

One reason for the refusal of transfers is the unknown dates for fans to return to the stands. Even if the 2019/20 season is played out, it will not save clubs, including Liverpool, from large financial losses.

Forecasts say that clubs Premier League will have to play without spectators, perhaps the entire next season.

Given these two reasons, Liverpool is almost guaranteed to buy no one in the next 12 months. The good news is that the “reds” are standing on their feet in comparison with most other clubs and, at least, will be able to save their stars.
