French authorities on Thursday captured a man who caused terror at an amusement park, where he attacked four children with a knife.
The unfortunate event was recorded in a park near Lake Annecy, in the French Alps.
Testimonies reveal that the subject arrived with a sharp weapon and without saying a word injured four children and one adult.
“The four injured minors are at viral risk,” says the medical staff where the minors were taken.
Emmanuel Macron’s government has described the attack as cowardice. “Attack of absolute cowardice this morning at a party in Annecy. The nation is shocked.”
French police reported that the assailant of the four children was identified as 31-year-old Abdalmasih.
Regarding the origin of the attacker, it was detailed that he is a Russian refugee who had no criminal record.
“The person responsible has been arrested thanks to the very rapid intervention of law enforcement,” Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said.
The press noted that the bodies of the four children were lying on the ground while the man raised a cross and some papers he was carrying.
A few days ago, a man killed a young man in a small town in the nation, triggering the authorities’ concern about the increase in violence.
