In many ways, Marvel’s Avengers is a big wet firecracker. Last week, less than 1000 players were reported for the PC version, resulting in issues with matchmaking. Regardless, gamers were gearing up to buy the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S / X versions. They will now have to wait until 2021 before they can play on next-gen consoles.
Crystal Dynamics studio spoke to fans on the Marvel’s Avengers official website. In addition to recognizing several failures since the launch of the game, the developers want to be reassuring about the future of the project; bug fixes, performance, stability, matchmaking, rewards and advanced player content are all top priorities right now.
Another tile that falls on the heads of the fans: the new operation of Kate Bishop will not be offered in October as planned. Returning to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S / X versions of the game, the reason given for the delay is the desire to deliver a true next-gen experience. Note that the upgrade will be free for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions with notable benefits such as a framerate boosted and reduced loading times.
