Square Enix is proud to announce that the first new playable superhero for MARVEL’S AVENGERS as part of Operation: Kate Bishop – AIM in Sight will be available on December 8, 2020. In addition to the new playable heroine Kate Bishop and the new story chapter of the Avengers Initiative, Marvel’s Avengers Operation: Kate Bishop – AIM in its sights also introduces a powerful new villain, the Super Adaptoid. He challenges players with a combination of skills and weapons that mimic the attacks of the Avengers.
The path to AIM in sight began with mysterious new tachyon missions that appeared on the War Table within the game a few weeks ago. AIM Targeted Kate Bishop, master archer and top gymnast, reappears after her investigation into Nick Fury’s disappearance resulted in her mentor, Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye), also disappearing. She reveals the secret of the sudden appearance of the tachyon rifts that change time and a perfidious new plan from AIM that prompts her to work with the Avengers again.
The AIM story in its sights begins shortly after the end of the MARVEL’S AVENGERS reassemble campaign and only represents the first half of the story of the two Hawkeyes again to initiate the next chapter of the Avengers Initiative.
MARVEL’S AVENGERS is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions can currently be played on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S thanks to backward compatibility.
Owners of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version of the game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen full version at no additional cost. Those who port their scores to next-gen consoles also transfer player profiles and progress. It also supports cross-gen gameplay, which means PS5 players can play with their friends on the PS4, and Xbox Series X | S players can connect with their friends on Xbox One.
MARVEL’S AVENGERS offers players a varied experience and combines the story campaign “Reassemble” for single player with the Warzone missions of the ongoing Avengers initiative, with missions for the Avengers around the world and beyond. Each mission of the campaign focuses on the unique abilities of one or more heroes, whereas the missions of the Avengers Initiative can be played solo with your own AI team or with a group of up to four players – with any hero from the roster Player.
The story of MARVEL’S AVENGERS is constantly expanding – including new stories with new heroes, villains, mission types, regions, objects and more, which are free for all players who own the main game. These stories drive the entire story of MARVEL’S AVENGERS forward over a long period of time and all new missions are accessible to the entire heroes troop.
