State support will be given to those banks that offer loans at a discount of 10% of the cost of the car to families with at least one child, health workers and those who have handed over their old car to pay the down payment. Loans should be issued for new cars made in Russia.

“For residents of the Far East, the discount should be 25% of the price of a new car,” the government said.

The authorities also increased the maximum cost of a car that can be taken on credit from 1 million to 1.5 million rubles.
