Mohamed Moussa re-elected at the head of the organization – ANAC

Mohamed Moussa, outgoing Director General was re-elected at the head of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), for a new term of 4 years (2021-2024).

The election took place in Dakar on Monday, September 14, 2020, as part of the 66th session of the institution’s Committee of Ministers.

It was in the first round that the eighteen members of ASECNA renewed their confidence in the leader. Out of 18, Moussa, former Nigerien Minister of Transport and Tourism obtained 10 favorable votes; Englebert Zoa Etundi, Cameroon’s representative at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Hassena Ould Ely, former director of Mauritania Airlines, came out with 3 votes each, while the former Central African minister of civil aviation, Théodore Jousso comes in fourth position with 2 votes.
