Morlaix. The order on the sale of alcohol surprises consumers

Wednesday, the prefect of Finistère has issued an order concerning the sale of alcohol, in the supermarkets of Morlaix and Saint-Martin-des-Champs, during the weekend of Panoramas. It was banned from 5 pm to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday, and from 6 am to 1 pm, Sunday.

Last year already, the prefect of Finistère had taken a decree governing the sale of alcohol, in the supermarkets of Saint-Martin des Champs and Morlaix, during the weekend of Panoramas.

While in 2017, it focused on maximum amounts of alcohol allowed for purchase this year, the sale of strong alcohol was banned altogether during certain time slots, and the limits imposed on beer and wine. A measure that concerns all customers, festival-goers or not.

Time slots and maximum volumes

The decree, taken on Wednesday, March 18, stipulates the ban on the sale of drinks of the fourth and fifth groups (spirits) on Friday 20 and Saturday 21, from 17 h to 21 h, then on Sunday of 6 h at 1 pm, in the establishments of Morlaix and Saint-Martin-des-Champs.

It also limits the sale to one liter of wine and two liters of beer per person in these same niches.

Distributors had to cope with the dissatisfaction of customers, especially those who do not participate in Panoramas …

Note that the order of the prefecture has not been the subject of a communication to the press.
