“From the current perspective, I can hardly imagine that such a large event is even possible at the time,” said Söder in the “Bayerischer Rundfunk”. But nothing has been decided yet. The Wiesn tapping is planned for September 19 this year.

The Oktoberfest landlords have previously reserved their tables only for regular customers. In addition, some hosts have accepted reservations requests. So far there are no binding commitments.

Horrific sums for tables

But because some customers are reselling the option to make a reservation, online trade is already in full swing. As reported by the “German Press Agency”, a platform on Thursday offered a place on the first Oktoberfest evening for just under 600 euros.

With another platform, there was a double table with space for up to 20 people to buy from 9999 euros. The cheapest ten table in the hacker marquee should cost 5449 euros.
