Blanes hosted the '10th Passafred' Sunday, a race with a name that has been more meaningful today than ever before, especially when the last preparations were being made early in the morning. The test has gathered a total of 370 people: 290 on the Camino Popular, 12 km, and 80 on the Half Marathon, 21 km of course.
Organized by the Excursionist Center of Blanes with the support of the Area of Sports of the City Council, this year the main novelty of the '10 Passafred 'has been that the starting point and arrival was the Ciutat Esportiva Blanes. In the last editions it had been the Vilar Sanctuary, but the change of location has allowed several logistical improvements that are highly valued both for the organization and for the participants.
The circuit has also been modified, ensuring that the route kept the attractions of the nine previous editions, but adding other incentives that made the experience more enjoyable and attractive. At 9 in the morning the exit of the Half Marathon was given, while at 2/4 of 10 it was the turn of the day with the participation of more participants, the Popular Walk.
The time limit to complete the route has been four hours, and along the way they have had several supply areas, such as the Creu del Vilar, where even the pets that accompanied some participants could also rest forces Once you get back to the Ciutat Esportiva Blanes you have been offered a popular sausage, as well as various gifts.
Mustafá Quissaden and Mayca Rivas, the fastest of the Half Marathon
The half marathon was the only one of the two tests made this morning that was timed and classified, which has awarded three first prizes with vouchers of € 50, € 30 and € 20 respectively for the three first people classified, both in men as in women. The waltzes are for exchange at the store 'Zona GR', one of the companies and collaborating establishments.
The fastest podium was led by Mustafá Quissaden, who has invested 1'44'09 hours. The second place was followed by Guillem Busquets (1'44'36 hours); and thirdly David Cazalla (1'46'42). On the other hand, the podium of women was headed by Mayca Rivas (2'17'58 hours); followed by Silvia Trias (2'31'11 hours); and Carme Muñoz (2'58'20pm).
They have been given the awards by Xavi Pascual, of the Excursionista Center of Blanes; Pere Lopera, Councilor for Sports of the Town Hall; and Mònica Rabassa, councilor for Sports of the Consell Comarcal de la Selva. The Excursionist Center Blanes has made a firm commitment to the reduction of waste, and for that reason, reusable glasses have been distributed today. The '10th Passafred' was the penultimate round of the "Blanes X Runners" calendar, which will close on December 31 with the 2nd Sant Silvetre Race.
