A live registration of Neil Young and Promise of the Real’s European summer tour – which took place in 2019 – will be released on a live double album and film, titled Noise and Flowers. That reports Rolling Stone Monday.
The nine-day tour started on June 29 in Odense, Denmark. This was just eight days after the death of Elliot Roberts, who had spent more than 50 years as a Youngs manager.
Which songs will be on the album is currently unknown. “Noise and Flowers is a really great collection, a reflection of the soul of our band, when we played for our fallen leader (Roberts, ed.) “, said Young. During the tour Young visited Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, among others.
Noise and Flowers is part of a long series of archival projects, including Return to Greendale, Way Down in the Rust Bucket, Carnegie Hall 1970, Road of Plenty, the long-awaited second part of his Archive Seriesbox set and an anniversary edition of the fiftieth year After the Gold Rush.
Noise and Flowers will be published early next year.
