Michael Keaton (70) played Batman in the 80s, and the supervillain in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. He himself has never seen a movie in the Marvel or DC movie universe.

Keaton, who is slated to reprise his role as an aging Batman in the upcoming DC film “The Flash,” said in an interview with Variety that he has never seen a movie in the popular superhero universe MCU and DCEU.

– I know no one believes it, but I have never seen a finished version of any of these films, Keaton told Variety.

The designations MCU and DCEU refer to the universe of superhero movies giant Marvel (Marvel Cinematic Universe) and DC (DC Extended Universe), respectively. Briefly explained, their respective film universes are made up of films and series that share the same general story.

Recently, Marvel announced more upcoming releases in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

– There are other things to do!

Unlike other famous filmmakers, such as Martin Scorsese, Keaton is not opposed to Marvel and DC films.

– I’m not saying that because I’m a culture snob, believe me! I only look at very few things. When I start watching something I think is good, I only watch three episodes. I have other things to do!

Keaton is not an unknown face to Marvel and DC fans. There are few superhero spheres that Keaton hasn’t visited.
