The body of the swimmer was found after three hours of research thanks to the overflight of a Belgian helicopter.
A 35-year-old man drowned on Friday night off Zuydcoote in the north, near Belgium, a firefighter said Saturday morning. A group of witnesses alerted the helpers in the late afternoon, claiming to have heard screams from a swimmer about fifty meters from the shore.
Three hours of research. Some witnesses went to the water to try, in vain, to help him.
