Official: Pedestrian shot on the boundary of Freeport-Roosevelt

Pedestrians were shot repeatedly along Freeport-Roosevelt border on Wednesday night and went to hospital in a serious condition, the authorities said.

The victim was walking or running south on Queen Street, between Taylor Avenue and Davis Street, when he was shot, said Freeport Mayor Robert Kennedy. It was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, said the mayor.

Nassau police said it happened at 9:50 p.m.

Other details were not available early on Thursday.
