ROME – Six people died and dozens were injured in a scramble at a nightclub in a coastal town in central Italy.
Italian fire officials and the ANSA news agency said that spectators at a nightclub in the city of Corinaldo, on the Adriatic Sea, panicked and rushed to the exits after someone vaporized a harmful substance.
A surviving teenager told ANSA that, when he had tried to run away, he had discovered that at least one of the emergency exits was locked.
