Oman: Officials have warned that private sector workers in Oman must pay their salaries before April 21st. Oman’s Ministry of Labor has made a decision to hold Eid-ul-Fitr next month. The Oman Ministry of Labor has also issued a special circular on workers’ wages.

Private sector employees are given such instructions under the Labor Law, which came into force under Decree No. 35 of 2003. Failure to comply with the law will result in sound legal action. Private sector employees may be ready for Eid celebrations earlier because wages are paid faster.
The Ministry of Labor published the official Twitter account. The Ministry also issued a notification to that effect.

At the same time, Oman has made e-payment systems mandatory for eight categories of financial transactions. The Ministry of Industry, Investors and Trade has issued the order. Authorities will provide the necessary facilities to enable electronic payments. EPayment is required for all transactions in malls and markets.
