Palazzetto Bru Zane Festival, laughing in music

A warmth all Spanish welcomed, this 1st June, at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the rediscovery of Master Péronilla, Iberian farce of Offenbach, kick-off of the Parisian festival organized by the Palazzetto Bru Zane of Venice.

The event puts this month of June under the light wing of comic opera, conducive to smile, laughter but also to some dreamy beaches, even melancholy, slipping among the joyous bursts.

A sparkling musical complicity

So Alvare's delightful plea for love for the dazzling Manoela who nimbles Act III of Master Péronilla a poetic, poetic halo … Removed, filled with this dramatic and musical verve that is the genius of Offenbach, the score deserved to be added to the forgotten treasures that the Palazzetto Bru Zane returns to music lovers, year after year.

Especially since the Orchester national de France and the choir of Radio France, under the elegant and sparkling baton of Markus Poschner, was an eloquent supporter of a great vocal platform, complicit, amused and amusing, refined and charming.

Happy team

What panache with Antoinette Dennefeld's Frimouskino, with ardor in Alavarès by Chantal Santon-Jeffery, with self-mockery in the Léona by the aristocratic Véronique Gens, and with juvenility already ruffled by Manoëla d'Anaïs Constans! These ladies led by the end of the nose a cheerful men's team, dominated by the true-false bonhomie of Éric Huchet's Péronilla, as convincing in the manufacture of chocolate "without cocoa" as improvised lawyer very little legalistic …

Five good reasons to go to "Mam'zelle Nitouche"

If Offenbach, virtuoso of the opera but also of the cello, is the honorary host of the festival (1), the programming also gives pride of place to many other jewels of French music, such as Save the case Charles Lecocq or Mam'zelle Nitouche d'Hervé, in a twirling production that has already shot in France before taking, this Friday, June 7, his quarters at the Théâtre Marigny.
