Panama reports 673 new cases and assumes the complete vaccination scheme against covid-19

In Panama, 750,760 accumulated cases have been recorded to date, of which 673 are new cases. For the last 24 hours, seven deaths are reported and two from previous dates are updated for a total of 8,019 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%.

The Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reports that as of today, Sunday, February 20, Panama assumes the complete vaccination scheme against covid-19, which establishes the three doses from the age of 16; two doses for ages 12 to 15 years and one dose for ages 5 to 11 years.

The coverage of the target population is 83.8% with the first dose; 73.6% with second dose; 47.7% with booster and 29.6% with pediatric doses for children between 5 and 11 years old.

The vaccination process continued today and some regions reported reports. In the East Panama region, 36 doses of Pfizer and 8 pediatric doses were applied.
