Parquet appoints expert to investigate defect Plopsaland attraction

The public prosecutor of West Flanders has now appointed a technical expert to investigate the cause. In “Het Journaal” Steve Van den Kerkhof of Plopsaland already said that the cause would not be the strong wind.

“The moment ‘The Ride to Happiness’ was opened, it was 25 percent below the maximum permitted wind speed,” said Van den Kerkhof.

In the meantime, the attraction will remain closed until there is more clarity about what went wrong last night.
