Participating in the Flag Ceremony, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin Wore Traditional Malay Clothing

JAKARTA, – For the first time as Vice President, Ma’ruf Amin follows ceremony flag raising commemorating the day independence 75th Republic of Indonesia at the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (17/8/2020).

Ceremony The commemoration of the Indonesian Independence Day this time was held differently with the limited number of participants due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The previous President and Vice President of Indonesia as well as other participants attended the ceremony virtually.

They are also required to wear traditional Indonesian clothing, as in the previous August 17 ceremony. Including, President Joko Widodo who wore traditional clothes from South Central Timor from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Previously, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin in his Friday prayer sermon on August 14, 2020, said that the independence achieved by the Indonesian people was a blessing and grace from Allah SWT through the persistence of the struggle of the nation’s heroes.

“With the fighting spirit and the spirit of unity and association, we make it the main platform in building a more developed and prosperous Indonesia,” he said.

It is known, before attending the 75th Indonesian Independence Day commemoration ceremony, Vice President Ma’ruf Amin also attended the Apples of Honor and Sacred Meditations at the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery at 00.00 WIB.
