JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The police said there was no different treatment between a number of US figures and the other suspects.
This responded to criticism about the handcuffs of a number of “WE” figures who were suspects inside hate speech case and incitement related to the Omnibus Law rejection demonstration Work Creation Act some time ago.
“So far we have said that it is no different from the suspects in other cases,” said Karo Penmas of Public Relations Headquarters. Police Brigadier General Pol Awi at a press conference Friday, October 16, 2020.
Previously, a number of “WE” figures were seen being handcuffed at a press conference held by the Headquarters Police on October 15, 2020.
The handcuffs generated a number of criticisms and compared them with suspects from institutions Police such as Inspector General of Police Napoleon Bonaparte to Brigadier General Prasetijo, who had not previously been handcuffed in the Djoko Tjandra case.
