Barcelona’s assistant secretary has been to Germany to see the performance of the RB Leipzig players in Tuesday’s win over Tottenham.
With government travel restrictions surrounding the coronavirus epidemic, both clubs and players are quarantined to control the spread of the pandemic. Barcelona football manager Eric Abidal, working with the constraints of the restriction, sent his assistant, Ramon Planes, to testify to some of the players at RB Leipzig during their clash against Tottenham.

The planes were in Germany to find potential young people who are under Barca’s radar for reinforcements in the most necessary areas of the team. Mundo Deportivo reports that defender Dayot Upamecano, full-back Jose Angelino and striker Timo Werner were all under Ramon’s supervision.
Dayot Upamecano has previously been linked with a move to the Nou Camp as the Catalan giants continue their quest for a central defender who can’t just play alongside Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet or Samuel Umtiti; but also being a permanent successor to 33-year-old Pique.
Another player strongly tied to a move is forward Timo Werner, who is playing as a backup for the Lautaro Martinez affair. The 24-year-old striker is not only cheaper to sign than the Argentine striker at Inter, with 60 million euros, but he can also play as a long-term heir to number 9 at Camp Nou.
Ramon also witnessed Galician Angelino of Manchester City Loanee, who will play for the Bundesliga until the end of this season. The 23-year-old will remain a City player until 2023, but it could be a potential signing for Barca as they try to strengthen their two full-back positions.
