There are few games as expected as Grand Theft Auto 6, with its predecessor Grand Theft Auto 5 being the third best selling video game of all time. Since the release of the fifth installment in September 2013, fans have been waiting patiently for the return of Grand Theft Auto, but no indication was given of when they could see it. However, Rockstar may have inadvertently provided his fans with a clue about the development of the game.
Grand Theft Auto it is one of the most successful and long-lasting video game franchises. Since its initial release in 1997, the series has sold over 280 million copies worldwide over multiple games, making it the fourth best-selling video game series of all time. Indeed, Grand Theft Auto 5 it continues to be downloaded and played by new players seven years after its initial release.
Having said that, seven years are incredibly long to wait for a new episode, and fans have started to get restless. Although, in the past year alone, there have been numerous rumors and leaks about the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. The latest news on the highly anticipated title comes in the form of a job announcement on the Rockstar Games career page.
Rockstar recently posted a job application on his career page for a technical engineer. A position that requires experience with various programming languages and excellent communication skills. However, something to note is that the job description mentions that the candidate “will work closely with the developers and the QA to ensure that the builds are stable at the time of release.” This strongly implies that Rockstar is working on a new project and requires additional staff. This work list appears to coincide with what Rockstar predicted earlier in the year in terms of expectations Grand Theft Auto news.
Nothing about this job necessarily guarantees that Rockstar is working Grand Theft Auto 6, it just means requiring a technical construction technician. This is ultimately the problem with Grand Theft Auto 6 at this point in time. There are too many speculations and fan theories without really hearing anything concrete from Rockstar herself. Right now, there aren’t many fans who can really do anything except wait for Rockstar to give an official response.
That said, there has been a lot of support in official terms Grand Theft Auto 6 news, in particular the loss concerning the ex Rockstar employee. 2020 will mark the seventh year since the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 so Rockstar definitely took his sweet moment to get to this point. Hopefully, when the time comes for the company to deliver, fans won’t be disappointed.
