During the last edition Caesar, the nomination, then the victories (in particular that of the best director) of Roman Polanski for J’accuse have spilled much ink. A few days before the evening, following complaints from the Association for the Promotion of Cinema, which pointed out the dysfunctions of its organization, the board of directors had resigned, with at its head its president, Alain Terzian, who had been replaced at short notice by Margaret Menegoz. The interim president quickly announced major upheavals within the Academy, organizing reforms aimed at more parity.
