Rome, building collapses in Marino for a gas leak: two women and a 4-year-old girl extracted from the rubble

Tragedy in the historic center of Marino, municipality of the Castelli Romani, where, shortly after 8 pm, a building collapsed in via G. Carissimi, at number 40, following an explosion most likely caused by a gas leak. Three people were extracted from the rubble, two women and a girl. One of the wounds, a 50-year-old Romanian, was transported in critical condition to the Sant’Eugenio hospital in Rome, while they are slightly injured and are in the Frascati hospital, a mother and her four-year-old daughter of Italian nationality.

The explosion destroyed a three-story building where several families live. Several fire brigade squads, police patrols and carabinieri and medical personnel from 118 are on site. Six apartments are involved, many of which are fortunately uninhabited.
