The Samsung T5 offers a very pleasant compact size to transport it, especially since it is light with only 57 grams on the scale. It easily finds its place in a bag, or even in a pocket since this external SSD is not more imposing than a smartphone. It also benefits from a robust design thanks to its metal coating. According to Samsung, it can withstand drops from 2 meters without damaging the stored data.
It does not then offer a transfer speed of up to 1 Gbit / s or a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection like the T7, but it is already very fast with the T5. The latter offers a speed of up to 540 MB / s if your device is USB 2.1 Gen2 compatible, all with a relatively constant speed. It also embeds the 4th generation of V-NAND memory, a 3D flash memory where the cells are stacked on 64 layers in order to gain longevity, speed and which also allows for lower energy consumption.
To connect it to your computer (PC or Mac), tablet (from Android 4.4) or iPad Pro, the Samsung T5 comes with two 40-centimeter cables: a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB. Finally, note that this SSD is guaranteed for 3 years by the Korean manufacturer.
Black Friday – Black Week: all you need to know
Let’s be honest: Black Friday dates are pretty confusing this year. Originally scheduled for November 27 and usually preceded by Black Week, it spans a wider period this year. Each e-merchant and brands communicate about the event in their own way, but come together on activations of joint offers during dates agreed in advance: it is these that we consider to be Black Friday offers. Also note that some merchants could postpone offers on the week of Cyber Monday.
Throughout the period, the Frandroid team will select the best good deals available through different selections:
