In the United States, one of the authors of the horror film “Children’s Games” in 1988 about the Chucky doll scriptwriter and director John Lafia committed suicide, Variety reports.
The body of the 63-year-old Lafia was found on April 29 at his home in Los Angeles. His colleague, the script for the Children’s Games, Don Mancini, called Lafia “an incredibly generous artist” and said that the “Chucky family” was devastated by the loss.
John Lafia worked on the original 1990 film about the killer doll and its sequel, Children’s Games-2. It is he who is credited with creating the famous phrase of the main antagonist: “Hello, I’m Chucky, do you want to play?”
