A car drove into a crowd on Monday. Around 30 people were injured. According to the Hesse Interior Minister Peter Beuth, around a third of them were children. “We have about 30 victims, some of them seriously injured and some of them children,” said the politician. The driver was also injured. Badle did not want to provide any information about his condition and the question of whether he could be heard on Tuesday.
At first it also remained unclear what was the point of another arrest. According to information from security circles, the second detainee is said to have filmed behind the car. So it was still unclear whether he was on the lookout or whether he was initiated.
The Frankfurt General Prosecutor’s Office is investigating an attempted homicide. There were no indications of a politically motivated crime. The Interior Ministry did not rule out an attack. A spokesman for the authority justified this on Monday with the situation on site. According to initial knowledge, the driver was not known to the authorities as an extremist, as the German press agency learned from security circles. In the past, however, the police had noticed the man through insult, trespassing and coercion.
The police warned of the alleged distribution of photos of the perpetrator. “The person pictured is definitely not the perpetrator,” the North Hesse police wrote on Monday late Monday evening about a photo that was said to be circulating. “Do not share false messages!” It said.

My thanks go to all the helpers on site who are on duty. ”
