TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – The National Police plans to change the security guard’s uniform from white to brown, resembling the police uniform.

Responding to this, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament, Azis Syamsuddin, warned of savings and efficiency budget, especially when the Covid-19 pandemic has not subsided.

“The important thing is not to change the uniform in the midst of a crisis like this and not make savings, efficiency,” said Azis at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/15/2020).

The Golkar Party politician actually returned the plan to change the security guard’s uniform to the National Police Chief, General Idham Azis.

However, according to him, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, the National Police must be wise in using the budget.

National Police Chief General (Pol) Idham Azis amended the regulation of the Head of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 of 2020 concerning Self-Guided Security. One of the things that was changed was the use of a new security guard’s uniform.

Later, there are 5 types of security guard members’ official clothes along with their ranks. The security guard uniform will also be brown in color resembling the Bhayangkara corps uniform.

Karo Penmas, Public Relations of the National Police, Brigadier General Awi Setyono, revealed that the security guard’s uniform this time was arranged to resemble a brown police uniform.

“The philosophy of the security guard uniform which is light brown (shirt) and dark brown (pants) with the meaning of brown is identical to the color of earth (earth), wood and stone which means natural colors. Brown is a neutral color that symbolizes modesty, foundation, stability, warmth, a sense of security and comfort as well as a sense of trust, elegance, fortitude and honesty, “Awi said in his statement, Tuesday (9/15/2020).
