shopping streets taken by storm

Walkers stormed the shopping streets of downtown Liège on Saturday afternoon.

Long lines in front of a few clothing stores were notably observed on the Cathedral Square. The stores located in the Carré, Passage Lemonnier, rue Pont d’Avroy and rue de la Cathédrale districts were also very busy.

The sunny weekend could be the cause of this influx. This influx is also explained by the action “Still standing for culture”, which was held on Saturday in Liège and throughout the country, in support of the cultural sector.

Around 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, the streets of the historic heart of Liège began to empty.
