Kjetil Rekdal was looking for his third victory as HamKam coach in Monday’s 1st division match at Strømmen stadium. But two goals by Strømmen’s Kjell Rune Sellin and one by Youssef Chaib ensured that Rekdal’s men had to leave the field empty handed.
The 3-0 victory also means that Strømmen took his second victory in seven games and is above the relegation line before the remaining Monday games are finished. The settlement in Strømmen started an hour before the other matches.
Sellin scored the first goal of the first half when he came alone with the goalkeeper after 37 minutes, while Chaib doubled the lead from the penalty spot five minutes after the break. The quarter before the end, Sellin fixed the final score to 3-0 when he put the ball in goal from close range.
Just a minute before the 2-0 goal, HamKam’s Adeleke Akinyemi had a goal canceled out after the line judge waved offside. Kjetil Rekdal thus has two wins, one draw and three losses in his first six games as HamKam coach.
The following matches will later start: Jerv – Sogndal, Kongsvinger – Åsane, Ranheim – Ull / Kisa, Raufoss – Grorud, Stjørdals-Blink – Sandnes Ulf, Øygarden – YMCA Oslo.
