The manufacturer has just introduced A7C, a product that is claimed to be the smallest and lightest full frame camera in the world.
The body of the Sony A7C is indeed small for the size of a sensor camera full-frame.
The physical dimensions are 124mm x 71.1mm x 59.7mm, weighing 509 grams or only 1 percent heavier than the Sony A6600 which has an APS-C sensor.
With a rangefinder style body that places the Electronic Viewfinder (2.36M pixels) in the top left corner. The figure of the A7C is just like the A6000 series camera from Sony, but the sensor size is much larger.
The full-frame image sensor on the A7C has a resolution of 24 MP (BSI CMOS) and has been equipped with a shake damper, aka In-Body Image Stabilizer with a compensation level that is claimed to reach 5-stops. Paired with the Bionz X image processor, the sensitivity level reaches ISO 51,200.
With a rangefinder-style body in the style of the A6000 series, the A7C also doesn’t have a front dial. But there is an exposure compensation dial in the upper right corner, adjacent to the record button for video recording and the mode dial.
Sony A7C is targeting YouTubers and vloggers. Camera This is also equipped with a 3-inch LCD touch screen with a fully articulated hinge that can be rotated in all directions, including facing forward.
Video recording capabilities reach a resolution of 4K 30 fps (8-bit) or 1080p 120 fps, both with a bit rate of 100 Mbps, as compiled KompasTekno from The Verge, Tuesday (9/15/2020).
Also provided is an input connector for the microphone, output for headphones, USB type-C for battery charging and data transfer, and WiFi. A7C uses an NP-FZ100 type battery with a resistance of up to 740 shots with LCD, 640 shots with EVF, or 225 minutes of video recording.
A7C’s maximum burst speed is 10 fps. The autofocus system relies on 693 phase detect points with the same algorithm as the A7S Mark III camera, and is also equipped with realtime Eye AF for human and animal subjects.
The Sony A7C is planned to be available in October 2020 at a price of US $ 1,799 or around Rp.26.7 million for the body only version.
Sony also offers a kit version with a collapsible FE 28-60mm f / 4-5.6 lens for US $ 2,100 or around Rp.31.1 million. This lens is also a new product that is designed to be compact in size as a companion to the A7C camera.
