The StopCovid application that the state wants to launch for deconfinement is following its path but some tensions are heard here and there. Heard behind closed doors by the Senate’s law commission on Monday, Cédric O, the Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, notably mentioned, according to our information, a sticking point with Apple on the design of the application which is intended to identify individuals who have been in contact with Covid-19 carriers and invite them to be screened in turn.

“The minister said that if Apple removed the technical barriers to the development of the application, he was hopeful that it would be ready on May 11”, the date of gradual lifting of containment, reported in his entourage. Contacted Apple did not wish to comment.
