Strictly star Danny John-Jules' dance partner fled training in tears after a massive row, saying: "I can not go on with him any more."
Amy Dowden, 27, sobbed as she ranks producers on the BBC show after storming out of the studio where she and actor Danny, 58, had been practicing.
A source said: "Amy's call sparked a sense of panic, not least when she said she would not be happy.
"The two of them have had several crosswords and arguments throughout the series. But this was the biggest row yet.
"Danny is knackered with all the training and he lost his cool. Amy took it really badly. "
BBC bosses told Danny he has to be "mindful of his behavior moving forward" and today's reassuring Amy.
Tonight the two of us have had a big time in the show.
The source added: "They are trying to put it all behind them.
"Danny is a perfectionist who strives to make each dance better and better. It's very common for things to get heated during training. "
Death In Paradise star Danny has been one of the favorites to win the show since week one.
Last weekend he and Amy finished off the top of the list of drones Ranj Singh and Janette Manrara go out.
Speaking to host Zoe Ball on It Takes Two today, the pair did not refer to the bust-up.
Danny said he had struggled with training, feeling "like a girder" because he was so tense and stiff after the weekend.
