Strictly Come Dancing pro Kevin Clifton drops marriage bombshell

Kevin Clifton is flying high on the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard with partner Stacey Dooley, who is currently favourite to win the BBC competition, but the pro left one fan stunned recently after dropping a marriage bombshell.

The professional dancer, 36, took to Instagram with Stacey , 31, to chat to their fans.

While they chatted to the camera during a rehearsal break, fans were able to write messages to them.

But one fan’s question didn’t go down well – because it was a marriage proposal.

They asked the Grimsby-born dancer: “Kevin come and marry me?”

Taken aback by the comment, he responded: “Oh, is that a serious offer? Trust me, that’s a bad idea!”

Kevin and wife Karen announced they were separating in March following months of speculation about their three year marriage.

The pair had been together since 2011 after meeting on Burn The Floor and still dance together during the professional routines on Strictly.

Despite this, it seems as though there is very little animosity between the pair.

Kevin hugged ex Karen after her great marks

Fans were delighted last month when Kevin showed his support for his ex by giving her a big hug.

Karen, 36, and her partner Charles Venn, 45, scored 36 for their amazing street dance to James Brown ‘s Get Up Offa That Thing.

As they celebrated their impressive score with their fellow contestants, Karen’s estranged husband was seen jumping over the sofa to reach her.

This comes after their joint interview with Hello! magazine, during which Karen said: “We have shared so much, so no matter what has happened, we can continue. Things don’t have to fall apart. Throughout the years we have had a good friendship, and that is a great base.”
