Members of the Paramaribo Regional Assistance Team (RBTP) yesterday morning arrested the 46-year-old suspect Romano K. for the robbery of the life of 32-year-old Myrtle Bons.
Romano K. has been detained after consultation with the Public Prosecution Service. The Capital Offenses Department is charged with the investigation in this criminal case.
The lifeless body of the woman was found in a submerged sand pit in the Brokopondo district on October 14. Obduction has shown that she was killed by violence.
A family member had reported her missing to the Domburg police station a few days ago. According to a statement, Myrtle left her home on October 5 in the morning hours to write her children from a school in Houttuin.
