Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Good news for fans of Apple products. It is rumored that Apple will release the iPhone 12 series in October, along with the Apple Watch and iPad in September. This was revealed by leaker Jon Prosser in his tweet on Twitter on Wednesday (13/8/2020).
Prosser claims that Apple will launch Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad products this fall. He also said the company would break with tradition and announce changes to at least two main product lines.
In a tweet, Prosser claimed Apple plans to debut the next-gen Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad models starting September 7, according to a press release due this week.
But Posser failed to determine which tablet Apple is slated to release, although current rumors point to the 10.8-inch iPad Air and the latest versions of the iPad mini.

In addition, Apple is also rumored to be working on the so-called AR glasses, Apple Glass which is likely to be announced as well at the announcement this fall.
Apple’s annual iPhone launch event is scheduled for the week of October 12, Prosser said, adding that the company will split the iPhone 12 launch into two phases. The iPhone 12 handsets will go up for pre-orders starting October 19, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro around November.
“With the release of the iPhone 12 staggered and the uncertainty of the end date for the Pro model, it is possible that the date could change,” Prosser said in a follow-up tweet, as quoted by Apple Insider.
The timing of Apple’s product launch was potentially staggered first reported by Digitimes. At the time, sources within Apple’s supply chain could reportedly launch two models, one measuring 6.1 inches in the first phase, and the 6.7 and 5.4 inches in the second phase.
Via a conference call, Apple CFO Luca Maestri confirmed the iPhone will launch “a few weeks later” than usual, hinting a release date of sometime in October or so.
Apple is expected to launch four iPhone 12 models at various prices. The more affordable 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 models are rumored to have an OLED sport display, dual cameras, an A14 processor and an aluminum chassis.
Meanwhile, the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro at a higher price adds a nicer screen, ProMotion technology, and an additional camera. While the iPhone 12 Pro Max or the largest models will have a LiDAR scanner. All 2020 iPhones will at least have 5G connectivity.
