This Wednesday, the United States received a humanitarian aid plane sent by Russia to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic, at a time when the United States is the country with the highest number of infected cases.
The plane, a Antonov-124 from the Russian air force, landed on Wednesday in New York, the American city most affected by the outbreak of the new coronavirus, with more than 83,000 confirmed cases.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov, this aid, of 60 tonnes of medical equipment, was agreed during Monday’s telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his counterpart Donald Trump.
