The BBVA slim advisor, Carlos Torres Vila, has had a meeting with the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. A meeting that the entity have described as "cordial and fruitful", and in which they have addressed issues such as the provision of banking or financial services to the society of this country. In this sense, Torres wanted to highlight the "leadership" of the banking entity in terms of innovation and technological transformation.
The meeting with the Mexican president also included the president of BBVA in Mexico, Jaime Serra Puche, and the vice president and general manager of this entity in the Latin American country, Eduardo Osuna Osuna. On the part of Mexico, López Obrador was accompanied by Carlos Urzúa and Arturo Herrera, secretary and undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit, respectively.
In this sense, Torres pointed out during the meeting that "Mexico has grown with BBVA and BBVA has grown with Mexico." The CEO of BBVA has also met with the regional councilors of the entity and held a lunch with the Secretary of State for Finance, Carlos Urzúa, during which the maximum representative of BBVA wanted to highlight the work of the entity in the country.

From BBVA have stressed that the entity is "an actor committed to the process of reducing the use of cash and thus contribute to combat tax evasion and money laundering."
