The new Citroën Berlingo 2021 it is already on sale in Spain. Presented At the beginning of 2018, the current model has been on the market for three years. And the time has come for the fourth best-selling car in Spain to renew its range with new finishes. It now has four trim levels, two body sizes, and five- and seven-seater versions.
The Citroën Berlingo, as one who does not want the thing, is the second best-selling model of Citroën. Made in Vigo, it is a success throughout Europe. The Citroën Berlingo offering for 2021 now focuses on four trim levels: Live Pack, Feel, Feel Pack and Shine.
In addition to these new finishes, the car is available in two body sizes, or as the brand calls it, in two sizes: M and XL. Size M measures 4.40 m long with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm, while size XL goes up to 4.75 meters long thanks to its 2,970 mm wheelbase.
Both sizes are available in a five- and seven-seater version, in the case of the Citroën Berlingo size M and in a five-seater configuration it offers a 597-liter boot, which drops to 65 liters with the seven seats. For its part, the Berlingo size XL has a luggage compartment of 850 liters in the five-seater version and 209 liters in the seven-seater version. And all these variants are available in four trim levels.
Four new finishes
The first of them is him Live Pack. Available from 18,200 euros (with launch offer by Citroën) it has automatic emergency braking, collision alert, active warning of involuntary lane change, tire pressure warning, cruise control and speed limiter. It also has manual air conditioning and two side doors with windows that can be opened. It seems obvious, but it is not always possible to open the rear windows on commercial vehicle derivatives.
Next in the range, the finish Feel. This finish adds driving assistance functions, automatic headlights, traffic sign recognition and a rear parking aid. It is with this finish that the 2021 Citroën Berlingo gains the LED daytime running lights and fog lamps, as well as the infotainment system with touch screen Citroën Connect Radio.
With the finish Feel Pack, the Citroën Berlingo is beginning to be more than properly equipped, adding to the standard equipment the tinted rear windows, the leather steering wheel, the longitudinal roof bars and the individual rear seats with armrests and Isofix bindings. In addition, it has an SUV or crossover aesthetic and 16-inch Starlit alloy wheels.
The finish Shine represents the top of the range. This finish adds to the standard equipment a rear camera for parking, bi-zone climate control, 17-inch Spin alloy wheels and a color head-up display.
Engines: priority to diesel
The mechanical offer of the Citroën Berlingo 2021 is not as extensive as that of its possible configurations between sizes M and XL and the four finishes. Here we are in the presence of two diesel engines and a single gasoline engine.
The diesel is the well-known 4-cylinder 1.5 BlueHDi available in a 100 hp version and in a 130 hp version, while the only gasoline engine available is the 110 hp 1.2 PureTech 3-cylinder block. All engines are associated with a 6-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive.
