According to Pilecký, production workers from Žemličkova Lhota and Křešice will move to the complex, and the company also wants to hire new people.
The premises of the former dairy in Sedlčany in the Příbram region were acquired by the company Pilecký, which deals with the production, assembly and sale of fences. Last year, Savencia Fromage & Dairy Czech Republic stopped the production of Sedlčanský and Lučina cheeses in Sedlčany and was looking for a buyer for an empty complex. Both parties have already concluded a purchase agreement, the amount of the transaction will not be published, Miroslav Maňásek, the statutory director of Savencia, told ČTK today.
The Pilecký company based in Nový Knín has been on the market since 1994, when it started selling classic wire fencing. It gradually expanded its range to include fences and other goods. Executive Daniel Pilecký told ČTK today that there will be the production of fences in Sedlčany, dozens of people should work there.
“The purchase contract was signed with Mr. Daniel Pilecký. It is a family company engaged in the production of fences and equipment related to this activity. The parties to the purchase price – this is the subject of a confidential purchase relationship between buyer and seller, it will not publish it, “said Maňásek.
According to Pilecký, production workers from Žemličkova Lhota and Křešice will move to the complex, and the company also wants to hire new people. “When we move in, it only depends on the local authorities, which must give us the appropriate permit,” said Pilecký. According to him, the company wants to invest in the complex. “Today we had the first meeting with the designer on site. We are planning an investment, but at the moment I can’t say how much it will cost,” the executive added.
Savencia Fromage & Dairy Czech Republic moved cheese production to the plant in Hesov in Havlíčkův Brod to increase efficiency. The Sedlčany dairy originally employed 300 people. They received an offer to work in Hesov, and the company paid severance pay to outgoing people.
The company, controlled by the French Bongrain family, has been operating under the current name Savencia since 2016. The French company came to the Czech dairy industry in 1993, when it acquired a majority in the Pribina dairy in Hessen. Two years later, it entered the then Povltavské mlékárny Sedlčany and in 1999 the TPK Hodonín dairy.
