The health of Córdoba mourns the death of two beloved doctors

Córdoba’s health accuses the recent loss of two renowned and beloved doctors: Rodolfo Del Boca and Ricardo García.

El “Colorado” Del Boca – as he asked his friends and loved ones to call him – had a long career in the Emergency Hospital, dependent on the Municipality of Córdoba.

In that public establishment he demonstrated his talent as a neurosurgeon, a capacity that led him to the head of the service, a position he carried out with solvency.

Carlos “Pecas” Soriano, a colleague and co-worker for decades in the main regional accidentology and emergentology complex, remembers Del Boca as “a huge, studious, committed and empathetic professional who always understood medicine as a high moral duty” .

Also, as a persecutor of utopias and a formidable artist.

“The Colorado looked very good. Art was in his blood and I have no doubt that that quality made him a different professional, tremendously human, ”Soriano conjectures.

“But above all things, he was a beautiful person,” he highlights as a distinctive feature of the deceased doctor’s personality.

The north as a destination

Ricardo Antonio García was a native of Montero, a city of Tucumán located 53 kilometers southeast of the capital of the northern province.

Ricardo García founded and presided over the Association of Clinics of the North of Córdoba (Aclinor).

At the dawn of the 1960s, he came to Córdoba to study Medicine at the National University of Córdoba (UNC).

After graduating from that college, he settled in the department of Colón. There he developed his vocation as a clinical and general practitioner.

In Colonia Caroya he founded the Caroya Private Sanatorium. The health center works at 1900 from the emblematic San Martín avenue, which is distinguished by the centennial grove of bananas.

From that medical institution, he promoted the creation of the Association of Clinics of the North of Córdoba (Aclinor), entity that presided from its foundation, in 1993, until its final expiration.

He was a family doctor at the Comprehensive Medical Assistance Program (PAMI) and he attended his office in a private center in Jesús María, a city to which he was a neighbor.

A post-Covid-19 pneumonia was the cause of his death.

He was 77 years old.
