If approved, the relaxation is expected to be able to boost people’s purchasing power of the automotive industry.

“Moreover, the automotive industry is one of the seven sectors that have priority development in implementing industry 4.0 according to the road map for Making Indonesia 4.0,” said the Minister of Industry. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita through a written statement, Saturday (17/10/2020).
He said, in 2019, more than 1 million vehicles were sold domestically, and 300,000 had been exported worldwide.
According to Minister of Industry, the excellence of automotive products made by manufacturers in Indonesia has been recognized globally.
Indonesia, he said, has become a country that exports completely built up vehicles (CBU) to more than 80 destination countries.
The five main destination countries are the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Mexico and Vietnam.
